Digital - First Try!

I am experimenting with digital scrapbooking.  Just for fun, after a fun day with my puppy, Emmitt, I grabbed my iPad and created digital layouts.

I tried two apps - the first is Project Life.  This was absolutely simple!  And I love it.  You drag and drop your pictures, and choose from a nice selection of designs.  Then choose journaling blocks, type a few words, and you are set!  This layout took 15 minutes.  I did purchase a group of extra layouts - so for 99 cents, I completed this page.  I think I could get used to the digital option!  Also, you can save the layout in the app and edit it again, at a later time.

Next, I used RhonnaCollage and RhonnaDesign.  It took me about 90 minutes to create the following page ... I tried multiple layouts and arrangements.  Now that I have experience with the app, my speed will improve.  I really like the flexibility I had in layering the photos and resizing them.  I did a lot of cropping in the app - but I think that comes at a cost - the photos are not as clear.  The next time I use Rhonna Collage, I’ll edit my pictures first - so that I do not need to crop in the app itself.  Also, once I improve at using this app, I think my options will be unlimited.

Two very different looks - and both will have a place in my future scrapbooks!
